A new high-rise tower is unfolding in St. Petersburg, FL. The 22-story tower will comprise 335 residential units, with five percent designated as workforce housing. That’s roughly 17 units. The tower will measure 285 feet high and cost $72 million to build.
Plans call for more than 11,000 square feet of commercial space and 382 parking spots, per St. Pete Rising. The parking spots will be housed in a multi-story parking garage measuring 68 feet tall.
Communal amenities include a dog spa, bicycle parking spots, and a co-working lounge. It will also feature a 2,240-square-foot fitness center and a 1,000-square-foot lobby. At this time, the build site is zoned as an “office/vacant” land use type. Before construction begins, developers hope to have the area rezoned as “multi-family/residential/commercial.” Sources report that the rezoning is “subject to the city’s Intown West Redevelopment Plan (IWRP)” which seeks to revitalize the area around Tropicana Field.
As of December 2022, the City of St. Petersburg had approved the project, but a public construction timeline was not available. A subsidiary of EquiAlt LLC owns the development. Focus Acquisition Company LLC is the developer. The project’s located at 3rd Avenue South and 5th Street in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, 33701, in Hillsborough County.
