Sundy Village, once dubbed “Midtown Delray,” is coming to Palm Beach County, FL, sometime in 2023. Per the Construction Journal, the mixed-use development will host residential spaces, retailers, and hotels.
According to Delray Beach’s website: “Sundy Village is the gateway into the entertainment corridor of Downtown Delray Beach.” Its namesake comes from the Sundy House, which is a historic house on the U.S. National Register of Historical Places. Sundy Village will encompass this iconic piece of Florida history.
Pebb Capital, a real estate investment firm located in Boca Raton, FL, began working on the project in 2019. However, it was largely delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Now that the pandemic is drawing to a close, construction will soon be underway.
Per the Construction Journal, although square footage is not yet available, the complex will feature a four-story, midrise apartment building with 16 units. Sundy Village will also comprise three hotels. The largest will be four stories above grade with 71 rooms. The smallest will be three stories above grade with “residential style hotel rooms.”
In addition to the hotels and apartment units, a 4,404 square foot restaurant is also underway, although there is no information as to what the restaurant will be. The restaurant will sit below two stories of office space and retailers.
Sundy Village’s physical address is 27 S. Swinton Ave, Delray Beach, FL, 33444.
