A few months ago, Certified General Contractors Inc. broke ground on Townhomes at Powell, a community of 128 single-family rentals in Wildwood, FL. The multi-million-dollar venture will offer 92 two-story apartments and 36 townhomes, offering one-bedroom to three-bedroom layout plans.
They will average around 1,670 square feet each. Communal amenities at Townhomes at Powell include a swimming pool, 300 parking spots, and a residents-only clubhouse. The 12-acre development will also feature 90,000 square feet of self-storage space.
The venture will unfold off Powell Road near The Villages.
As suggested, Certified General Contractors Inc. is the general contractor. Involved parties in the venture include Agador Spartacus, JLL Capital Markets, ELEVEN18 Architecture, and American Civil Engineering Co. If all goes according to plan, construction could end on Townhomes at Powell in 2026.
The community is one of many evolving ventures near The Villages in Central Florida. Recently, Florida YIMBY reported on Standard441, another multi-family housing development unfolding near The Villages. That venture will offer 300 luxury units on a 15-acre lot.
The many projects unfolding near The Villages suggests a demand for housing in the area. Multi-Housing News reports that Townhomes at Powell will be located on Powell Road in Sumter County east of The Villages.
