Robert Finvarb Companies, a renowned name in the hospitality industry, in partnership with New York-based Hidrock Realty, is gearing up to introduce an exciting new hotel venture in Miami’s bustling Wynwood Arts District. The Wynwood Design Review Committee is poised to review the project plans on December 5 for the 11,250-square-foot site at 160 Northwest 28th Street. This prime location, snapped up in March by 160 NW 28 St Associates LLC under the ownership of Robert Finvarb, came with a price tag of $6.7 million.
First reported by the South Florida Business Journal, the development, designed by MKDA Florida, is set to rise eight stories and span 45,770 square feet, meticulously designed to cater to the vibrant Wynwood scene. It will house 116 rooms, each a blend of comfort and style, with sizes ranging from 298 to 624 square feet. The culinary scene within the hotel is just as impressive, boasting a 205-seat restaurant sprawling across 3,698 square feet on the mezzanine and a 156-seat rooftop dining experience over 4,480 square feet, complemented by a rooftop pool and a gym. The development smartly includes 24 parking spaces on the basement level.

The developer is establishing a new standard for Wynwood’s hospitality scene by focusing on full-sized rooms, contrasting with the smaller accommodations often found in the area’s newer hotels. The company is nearing a branding deal with a major national hotel company, positioning the property as a standout full-service hotel.
The hotel’s dining options are thoughtfully curated, with the rooftop space focusing on beverages and the mezzanine restaurant offering a more conventional dining experience.

The developer’s ambitious plans extend beyond Wynwood. They anticipate starting construction on a hotel in Coconut Grove and apartments in northern Miami Beach by the end of this year. Their current projects include a hotel at the University of Michigan, showcasing their expanding footprint in the hospitality sector.
