Sixteenth Square Offers 11 Townhomes at 1523 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South, St. Petersburg, FL

Construction commenced on Sixteenth Square townhomes in 2020. Now, after nearly four years of development, the general contractor is finishing out the last few homes.

The community will offer 11 three-bedroom townhomes, measuring 1,276 square feet each. Interior amenities include granite countertops, energy-efficient appliances, and stackable washer/dryer units. They also come with modern wood finishings and other desirable features.

Construction started on the venture in 2020.

According to St. Pete Rising, the townhomes are reserved for those earning up to 100 percent of the area median income (AMI), meaning that residency would be reserved for those making $60,900 a year.

Right now, the homes are listed at $271,000, and they must remain as affordable housing units for the next 15 years. The project cost more than $3 million to complete––$1`million of which came from the South St. Pete Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). Namaste Homes is the developer.

Homes measure just over 1,200 square feet each.

The Sixteenth Square townhomes isn’t the only project that Namaste Homes has in its pipeline. The St. Pete-based developer has submitted plans for a nearby site. The 11-unit complex will be located at 1523 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South, St. Petersburg, FL, 33705, in Pinellas County.

The venture will lie east of Interstate 275 and north of Lake Maggiore.

  1. AS A 77 YEAR OLD NEW YORKER, I FIND THE DESIGN A WINNER. ENOUGH OF … GLASS AND COLD STEEL. THE HOMES APPEAR TO HAVE A HUMAN QUALITY. A HOME THAT MAY NURTURE THE NEXT GENERATION TO THE VALUES OF WHAT AMERICA … WAS ONCE ABOUT.
