Dunedin’s city commission is scheduled to hear a proposal for a mixed-use project on April 4th and May 2nd. The project already received approval from the city’s Local Planning Agency. But what is it?
Proposed by JAMAP Home Builders LLC, the development would comprise four buildings. Per the Tampa Bay Business Journal, plans call for two residential buildings offering a total of eight townhome units. Another low-rise residential building would offer four townhomes, a winery, rooftop patios, and ground-floor parking garage.
The final piece of the puzzle would be a four-story hotel offering seven rooms. Amenities would include a swimming pool and cabana. At the time of publication, we did not know the hotel’s brand.
The 1.05-acre site is now vacant, but it once hosted a restaurant that opened in 1986 and was demolished 19 years later in 2005. This isn’t the first time a developer has proposed a project for the parcel. In 2015, the city reviewed a proposal for a 16-unit development, but the project never came to fruition.
The new mixed-use development could get approval for 265 Causeway Boulevard, Dunedin, FL, 33619, in Pinellas County. It would be located west of Florida State Road 589.
