Developer Proposes ‘Capri Place II’ for 8001 NW 27th Avenue, Miami, FL

West Palm Beach-based Richman Group has plans for a 2.66-acre site in South Florida. New plans for Capri Place II call for 180 affordable housing units in a 12-story building. Our sources indicate that residences would span one-bedroom to two-bedroom floorplans.

Communal amenities include a swimming pool, spa, and two-story, 206-spot parking garage. There would be an additional 49 surface parking spots. Aside from the residential aspect, there would be 1,800 square feet of retail.

The proposed build site measures 2.66 acres.

As stated, Richman Group is the developer. Its affiliate, Richman Capri Market Apartments LLC, filed the pre-application with the county. It acquired the now-vacant site for $6 million in 2021. Behar Front Partners is the architect.

Capri Place II would be the second phase of Capri Place, which Florida YIMBY reported on in 2021. This is the third proposal the Richman Group has proposed for the site. The first plan called for a six-story building with 110 apartments.

The site is currently vacant.

The second proposal put forth a 12-story, 374-unit complex. Neither came to fruition. Capri Place II could take shape at 8001 NW 27th Avenue, Miami, FL, 33147, in Miami-Dade County. It would be west of I-95 and north of Florida 112.
