Miami-Dade’s Water and Sewer Department has finalized utility supply deals for two upcoming developments in the Brickell and Park West areas. Both projects, designed by Sieger Suarez Architects and currently in the construction permitting phase, secured utility agreements on May 22.
According to The Next Miami, the agreements cover developments at 120 Southwest 8th Street (One Twenty Brickell Residences) in Brickell and 18 Northwest 11th Street (West Eleventh Residences) in Park West. These agreements outline water and sewer connections to the new buildings, facilitating their upcoming construction.
The agreement for One Twenty Brickell Residences, signed by Daniel Kaplan on behalf of developer 1st and 8th LLC, details plans for including 810 residential units and 15,791 square feet of full-service restaurant space. The estimated combined connection charges for this project are around $1.3 million.
West Eleventh Residences, which secured its agreement with a signature from Ryan Shear representing Block 17 Trustee, LLC, is planned to include 670 residential units and 9,759 square feet of full-service restaurant space. The combined connection charges for this project are estimated at approximately $1.1 million.
Property Markets Group is the developer behind both projects, ensuring the integration of these new residential spaces into Miami’s evolving urban landscape. The utility agreements mark a significant step forward in the development process, providing the necessary infrastructure to support the substantial number of new units and commercial spaces.
The approval of these utility deals underscores the ongoing growth and urban development in Miami, particularly in the Brickell and Park West areas. As these projects progress, they are expected to contribute to the city’s expanding residential and commercial offerings, aligning with Miami’s broader development goals.
Both projects are now set to progress with the confidence that their utility needs are secured, paving the way for the next stages of construction and development in these key Miami neighborhoods.
