Cypress Creek Golf Course closed in 2018. The following year, its owner, True Shot LLC, sought to build a 195-unit single-family housing development by Pulte Homes, but that project never came to fruition.
Now, Toll Brothers, which has the 122.6-acre site under contract, is hoping to move forward with a new housing development. New plans call for a 152-home neighborhood, with the homes resting on lots measuring 65 by 127 feet and 80 by 180 feet.

The community at large would offer lakes, green space, and recreational amenities. Pennsylvania-based Toll Brothers is hoping to get a rezoning change approved by the Palm Beach County Zoning Commission. This would involve rezoning the parcel from “agricultural residential” and “residential single family” to “planned unit development,” according to the South Florida Business Journal.
The Commission has plans to hear the proposal on July 2nd. Our sources indicate that while the development offers a unique residential and investment opportunity, it could be met with opposition from neighboring residents.
They note that among concerns regarding wastewater, crowding, and flooding, “neighbors are often upset when they lose their golf course views.” This opposition is partially what led to True Shot LLC abandoning its plans for the original 195-unit complex, per the Palm Beach Post.
