On Saturday, Florida YIMBY reported on San Sebastian Luxury Homes, a venture seeking to double its density because of new Rapid Transit Zone (RTZ) rules. Now, we’ve learned of another transit-oriented development in Miami-Dade County.
The South Florida Business Journal reports that an affiliate of New York-based Urban Builders Collaborative and Lettire Construction hopes to build a 16-story building. The unnamed venture would offer 119 apartments with three different floorplans. They would range from one-bedroom to two-bedroom homes, with some featuring dens.
At the time of publication, our sources did not list any communal amenities. If brought to fruition, the high-rise tower would occupy a 33,000-square-foot lot. Google Earth’s renderings show that the build site is undeveloped. The developer purchased the parcel for $2.5 million in December 2017.
Coral Gables-based Behar Font & Partners is the architect. It also designed the 70-story Okan Tower, a mixed-use venture in Downtown Miami. The 902-foot-tall structure will offer 399 residences, a 316-key hotel, 64,000 square foot of class A office space. It will also feature a host of indoor and outdoor amenities.
The Miami-Dade County Commission will vote on the 16-story project on September 4th. The proposal concerns the site of 1136 N.W. 8th Ave., Miami, FL, 33136 in Miami-Dade County.
