A new Holiday Inn Express is coming to Hollywood, FL. The $9.7 million venture intends to provide hotel rooms to those visiting the area. The project was previously delayed in June 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Yet, construction will commence in the fourth quarter of 2021, per the Construction Journal. To make way for the new development, a 70-year old apartment complex will be demolished.

The hotel will comprise 80 units, spanning over 96,000 square feet of new construction. The eight-story hotel will be modeled after other Holiday Inn Expresses in South Florida, sporting Holiday Inn’s trademark green sign and neutral-colored facade.
The hotel will feature 49 parking spaces. The South Florida Business Journal notes that in addition to spacious parking, the hotel’s fourth floor will feature a pool, fitness center, and outdoor lounging area.

Per U.S. News & World Report, hotels are booming all over Florida as tourism picks up in the aftermath of the worldwide pandemic. DP Hotels, which owns the Holiday Inn Express, presently has four active projects in the works–-all of which are hotels up and down the Florida east coast.
The Holiday Inn Express’s physical address is 1748 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL, 33020. It will be situated in Broward County.
