Vertical construction has reached a major milestone at The Edge Sarasota, as developers marked the topping out of the 10-story boutique condominium at 290 Cocoanut Avenue in downtown Sarasota. Construction is being led by Voeller Construction, with architecture by BDG Architects and interior design by DSDG Architects. Principals from Jebco Ventures and ORE Development joined buyers on site to commemorate the final floor pour, signing a concrete plinth that will become part of the completed structure.

Following the on-site ceremony, the development team and invited guests gathered at the Art Ovation Rooftop Bar, where the group observed a Christmas tree illuminated atop The Edge Sarasota. Attendees included City of Sarasota Commissioner Liz Alpert, Sadek Omar and Lee Smith of ORE Development, Brent Parker of BDG Architects, Bill Voeller of Voeller Construction, Mark Sultana of DSDG Architects, which is responsible for interior design, and members of the leadership team from Michael Saunders & Company.

The Edge Sarasota’s 27 residences range in size from 3,154 square feet to 3,532 square feet. The building contains a mix of two- and three-bedroom layouts and includes a collection of shared amenities integrated throughout the structure. A limited number of residences remain available as of December 2025.

The project site occupies a prominent downtown corner at Cocoanut Avenue and Fruitville Road, placing the building within walking distance of Sarasota’s central business district and cultural institutions.
Construction is currently on schedule for completion in fall 2026.
