Developers BDT & MSD are advancing plans for a luxury residential development that would occupy land shared by The Boca Raton resort.
Boca Raton City Council members voted unanimously on the venture last week, approving the construction of an eight-story, 505,840-square-foot condo with 76 units. Residences would include two-bedroom to five-bedroom layout plans.
On-site offerings would include a three-story, 31,696-square-foot fitness center, indoor and rooftop swimming pools, and a residents-only club. The resort’s already-existing amenities, including the pickleball court and marina, would remain.
The hotel on the premises would also remain untouched; BDT & MSD spent $120 million to renovate the resort in 2024. The redevelopment involved updating the guest rooms, wellness amenities, and on-site entertainment options. Hart Howerton is the architect. Site plans show that the 76-unit condo would occupy 5.2 acres, which currently houses a golf course maintenance facility.
Boca Raton has seen a boost in luxury developments over the past few years. Last week, Florida YIMBY reported that the Boca Raton Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) had approved plans for a two-tower, 12-story project that would offer hotel rooms and retail.
The eight-story, 76-unit venture is planned for 501 E Camino Real, Boca Raton, FL, 33432, in Palm Beach County.
