Florida YIMBY has an update regarding a hotel/retail venture in Boca Raton. Initially proposed in 2023, the venture was to comprise two 11-story buildings with 266 hotel rooms and 32,400 square feet of retail.

Now, Boca Raton’s Community Redevelopment Agency has approved the latest plans for the project: two 12-story towers with 219 hotel rooms and 30,840 square feet of ground-floor and top-floor retail/restaurant space.

There will also be 328 parking spots in two levels of underground parking. In total, the two towers would require 275,412 square feet of new construction and occupy a 1.65-acre site. It currently hosts two buildings dating back to the 1960s. Current tenants include a post office and restaurant.

Investments Limited is the developer. It purchased the two-tower build site for $4.6 million. The firm is led by James and Marta Batmasian; in 2023, the South Florida Business Journal credited them with being the largest landowners in Boca Raton.

Palm Beach County has many residential ventures in the works. One such project is Glass House Boca Raton, a $70 million endeavor set to feature 28 units in nine stories.

The two-tower development is set for 132 and 170 N.E. Second St., Boca Raton, Florida, 33432, in Palm Beach County.
