A new affordable housing development is headed to Miami’s Naranja neighborhood. Construction started on the project in June, and it’s slated for completion in early 2028.
Artisan Pointe is set to comprise multiple phases, the first of which would deliver 115 apartments. There would be three distinct floorplans: one-bedroom/one-bathroom models, two-bedroom/one-bathroom models, and two-bedroom/two-bathroom models.
Residency in the first phase would be reserved for households earning 30, 60, or 70 percent of the area median income (AMI); Miami-Dade County’s AMI is $87,200. Communal amenities at Artisan Pointe would include a fitness center, work-from-home space, and various outdoor offerings.

Housing Trust Group and AM Affordable Housing have partnered together on Artisan Pointe. The latter is a non-profit organization led by former Miami Heat star Alonzo Mourning. The pair purchased the development’s 4.3-acre build site for $10.4 million this April. The property previously sold for $5.7 million in 2021, meaning the sale marked an 82.5 percentage gain in value. Ferncore Construction is the general contractor. Palenzuela & Hevia Design Group is the architect.
Recently, Florida YIMBY reported on another project unfolding in Naranja: Infinity Garden Apartments, a large-scale project that would yield more than 700 units.
