A Boca Raton-based developer has submitted a proposal for an affordable housing development in Miami-Dade.
Solara Village would comprise 200 apartments in eight stories, specifically one-bedroom and two-bedroom floorplans. They would measure about 490 to 800 square feet.
The South Florida Business Journal reports that at the time of publication, the developer had not outlined income restrictions; yet, Miami-Dade County defines affordable housing as housing available to households earning at or below 140 percent of the area median income (AMI).
Additional features of Solara Village include 2,000 square feet of retail and 213 parking spots. MHG Developers LLC is the developer. The firm has Solara Village’s 2.84-acre build site under contract from its current owner, Tenth and 79 LLC. Aerial renderings via Google Earth show that the site is undeveloped.
Deerfield Beach-based Gallo Herbert Architects designed Solara Village. Conceptual renderings are not currently available.
Solara Village isn’t the only development unfolding in Miami’s West Little River neighborhood. One such venture is the first phase of Northside Town Station II. The mixed-rise project is set to feature residences, retail, and commercial space.
Solara Village is slated for 1060 N.W. 79th St., Miami, Florida, 33150, in Miami-Dade County.
