A student housing project is unfolding near the University of Central Florida. The venture is being led by American Campus Communities (ACC). From ACC’s website, the community will feature “fully furnished apartment homes, academic-focused amenities and wellness-focused spaces just minutes from campus.”
Construction started on Crest on University last year, with completion anticipated for Fall 2027. It will host 898 beds in an undisclosed number of stories (though conceptual renderings suggest five to six).
Apartments would include studio, one-, two-, four-, and five-bedroom layouts. Additionally, residents would have access to a variety of communal amenities, with some including a resort-style pool and spa, study space, and fitness/wellness facilities. Students will also be within walking distance of UCF’s offerings.

As noted, ACC is the developer. The firm has multiple student housing ventures throughout the country. The Orlando Business Journal puts the cost of construction at more than $85 million.
Florida YIMBY recently reported on another student housing venture: Vox on Red. Located in Miami, the six-story, 117-bed venture would offer 300 student beds.
Crest on University is unfolding at 12099 University Boulevard, Orlando, FL, 32817, in Orange County. The street address was previously 12124 High Tech Ave before being renamed.
