‘Cora’ Nears Completion At 1011 East Cumberland Avenue In Water Street Tampa

Construction work is nearing completion as the final touches are underway on Cora, a 23-story residential building located at 1011 East Cumberland Avenue within Phase 1 of the 56-acre Water Street Tampa development. Developed by Strategic Property Partners (SPP), the 283-foot-tall structure will bring 388 high-end rental units to Tampa’s real estate market, featuring thoughtfully-designed interiors by Edit Lab at Streetsense. New York City-based COOKFOX Architects is responsible for the design of the tower along with ODP Architecture & Design as the architect of record.

Updated Renderings And Diagrams Revealed For Upcoming 17-Story Condo Tower At 5333 Collins Avenue

New renderings and diagrams have been released via a Design Review Approval request for the proposal for 5333 Collins Avenue, a 17-story condominium tower planned to rise in Miami Beach. Designed by OMA New York with ODP Architecture & Designed listed as the architect of record and developed by Camilo Miguel Jr’s Mast Capital, the structure’s roofline should rise to 213-feet overlooking Indian Creek and the Atlantic Ocean, and yield 381,121 gross square feet including 246,906 square feet of residential space across 100 condo units, 183 parking spaces and nearly 23,000 square feet of amenities.

Mast Capital Plans To Replace La Costa Condos With A 19-Story Residential Tower At 5333 Collins Avenue In Miami Beach

Miami-based developer Mast Capital, led by Camilo Miguel Jr., is planning to build a 19-story luxury condo tower at 5333 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, the site of the recently evacuated La Costa of Miami Beach Condos. The new building is projected to yield approximately 318,000 square feet of space including 100 residential units, 183 parking spots and offering unobstructed views of the oceanfront. According to The Real Deal, the developer has tapped OMA to design the building with ODP Architecture & Design as the architect of record.

Envisioning The Future Supertalls Of The City Of Miami

In recent years, the city of Miami has seen an influx of proposals for supertall skyscrapers; this supertall is defined as a building reaching the height of 300 meters or greater, or a minimum of 984 feet. Various developers have put together elite teams of architects and engineers to bring the phenomenon to South Florida, yet as of today, none have been constructed. Skyscraper construction is no myth in the area as the city’s skyline is densely packed with hundreds of high rises, and perhaps even some that visually appear to come close to 300 meters, but a legitimate supertall has yet to come to fruition. This could be due to various factors, such as funding or engineering obstacles; maybe in the past the demand wasn’t there. But what we do know is that the FAA, the Federal Aviation Administration, has approved a handful of supertall skyscraper proposals. These are the most recently proposed and approved projects.
