Destination Sport Miami Is Planned Near Dolphin Mall In Doral, Miami

A massive multi-story indoor sports and recreational facility is being planned near Miami’s Dolphin Mall in the Sweetwater neighborhood. Named Destination Sport Miami, the building will span nearly 1 million square feet Рsoon to become one of the largest sports facilities in North America. The project is being developed by a group of backers lead by Hockey Hall of Famer Bryan Trottier, who signed a land lease for 20-acres with Cimabian Group. Robert Andrus, president of Andrus Architecture, is named as the architect.

Rock Climbing Facility Proposed For 2280 NW 41st Street In Brownsville, Miami

An application has been submitted to Miami-Dade County’s Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources seeking approvals for the construction of a rock climbing facility titled Velocity Rock Gym. Addressed as 2280 Northwest 41st Street, the single-story building will yield a total of 15,677 gross square feet, rising to the maximum height of 50-feet. The site is located in the Brownsville Neighborhood of Miami, bounded by NW 23rd Street to the west, NW 22nd Ct. to the east and Florida SR 112 to the south. The Earlington Heights Metrorail station is within close proximity to the property.
