The Tampa EDITION will open its doors in the fourth quarter of 2021. The 27-story mixed-use complex will feature 172 hotel rooms and 37 condos. The complex will cost an estimated $3.5 billion to build, per the Construction Journal.
The building will comprise 327,244 square feet of new construction and began construction in January 2020. In addition to the hotel and residence, the development will also feature retail stores, bars, and restaurants.

About 5,900 square feet has been designated as “flexible meeting and events space.” Amenities also feature a pool, gym, rooftop bar, and terrace. The Tampa EDITION will also feature a 2,900 square foot penthouse.
Presently, the project is being managed by the Ian Schrager Company. This is the fifth EDITION Hotel to be constructed in the country, with other locations in Miami Beach, West Hollywood, and Times Square. International EDITION Hotels are located in Tokyo, Rome, Madrid, and other locations in Asia and Europe.

Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates (NBWW) is the architect on the project. The Coral Gables-based firm specializes in “mixed-use centers and world-class hotels and resorts.” They are working alongside Morris Adjmi Architects on the project.
The Tampa EDITION’s physical address is listed as being Water Street & Channelside Drive, Tampa, FL, 33602. It will be located in Hillsborough County.
