Fans of Gordon Ramsay are in for a special treat next year. The television personality and renowned chef is opening a restaurant in Miami Beach, FL. Lucky Cat, which is just one of Ramsay’s many restaurants, will primarily feature Asian cuisine. The menu is inspired from Ramsay’s trips to Laos and Cambodia.
Arquitectonica, an international, Miami-based architectural firm, designed the 9,000 square foot venture. The organization presently has three active projects, totaling an estimated $203 million, according to the Construction Journal.
The South Florida Business Journal reports that the restaurant’s opening is directly linked to the Covid-19 pandemic. As businesses resume activities at full capacity, international investors have become interested in South Florida’s tourism industry. In fact, Lucky Cat is the first of its kind to open in the U.S., with the original being located in London.
Amenities will include a sushi bar, outdoor seating, chef’s table, and private dining room. Per the restaurant’s website, there is a dress code, with patrons being asked to wear: “Smart casual. No caps, vests, flip-flops, or swimwear.” The lunch menu notes that there’s a $45 fee per person.
Lucky Cat’s physical address will be 119 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL, 33139. It will be located in Miami-Dade County in walking distance of the Washington Park Big Dog Run.
