Gloria Drummond Patient Tower to Expand Boca Raton Regional Hospital at 800 Meadows Road, Boca Raton, FL, 33486

After being in the conception stage since 2018, the Gloria Drummond Patient Tower is now seeking site plan approvals. The $260 million venture seeks to expand Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s reach in the area. The organization is acting as the project’s owner.

The nine-story hospital will require over 437,000 square feet of new construction. Per Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s website, the facility is named for philanthropist Gloria Drummond, who was one of the hospital’s founders.

The South Florida Business Journal reports that the facility will include “private patient rooms, surgical suites, space for staff, and space for graduate medical education.” The addition would make Boca Raton Regional Hospital 1.08 million square feet and add 15 patient rooms. Another exciting aspect of the venture is the parking lot. The same source notes that over 400 parking spots are included in the site’s plans.

While we’re not sure when the Gloria Drummond Patient Tower will open, we do know that HKS Architects and Urban Design Studio of South Florida are working together on the project’s design. Right now, five Florida-based bidders are throwing their hats in the ring, hoping to serve as the project’s general contractor.

The Gloria Drummond Patient Tower is located at 800 Meadows Road, Boca Raton, FL, 33486. It’ll be located in Palm Beach County.
