A new housing development is nearing completion in Sarasota County, FL. Citra is a luxury multi-family residence that will comprise 300 units and include one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units.
The Construction Journal reports that construction began on the venture in the first quarter of 2020 and will wrap up later this year in 2021. It’s owned by Stock Development LLC. Citra will require over 350,000 square feet of new construction and include a communal dog park, swimming pool, fitness center, and clubhouse.
The Business Observer reports that the complex signed more than 100 leases within the first month of advertising. Keith Gelder, the president of Stock Development LLC, told the publication: “It shows the level of demand and the lack of availability.”
The apartment buildings will measure four stories above grade, while the clubhouse will be two stories. The smallest residential units measure about 600 square feet. The largest units measure over 1,300 square feet. Rent starts at $1,700 a month––also the website suggests that this number could be higher, depending on availability.
Stock Construction, the project’s general contractor, is overseeing the building’s completion. This is the Naples-based developer’s only active project right now. Citra will cost an estimated $50 million to build. Citra’s address is 3017 Clementine Court, Sarasota, FL, 34240. It will be located in Sarasota County.
