New Electronic Arts (EA) Headquarters Slated for 515 West Amelia Street and Ronald Blocker Avenue in Orlando, FL, 32801

Electronic Arts (EA), the video game developer behind the Sims, Apex Legends, and the Madden series, has a new headquarters planned for Orlando, FL. The $21 million building began construction in May 2020 and will complete later this year. The new studio will focus primarily on video games in the sports genre.

The headquarters is a five-story building with an eight-story parking garage. The build site, which measures 2.38 acres, will require over 175,000 square feet of new construction. Ustler Group of Companies, which presently has four active projects, is overseeing the project’s construction. It has partnered with five other Central Florida-based organizations on the venture.

The $21 million building will open later this year.

Per the Construction Journal, the project has been in the works since 2019. The Orlando Sentinel reports that ideally, by 2025, EA’s new headquarters will employ more than 1,000 people. To remain open, the building must retain a workforce of at least 600 workers.

Developers hope that Orlando’s dense population, along with its nearby colleges, will make the area a digital hub. Orlando is home to both the University of Central Florida (UCF) and Full Sail University, both of which offer technology-centered programs.

EA’s new headquarters will be located at 515 West Amelia Street and Ronald Blocker Avenue in Orlando, FL, 32801 in Orange County. It’s just one of the many additions to Downtown Orlando’s Creative Village.
