Construction on Jacaranda Place began earlier in August 2021, intending to provide 88 housing units to low-income families and disabled individuals in Charlotte County, FL. According to Seltzer Management Group, Inc.’s April 2021 report, units run anywhere from 650 square feet to 951 square feet each. They’re divided among multiple mid-rise, garden-style apartment buildings on a lot measuring about seven acres.
The project requires about 60,000 square feet of new construction, with Park & Eleazer Construction serving as the general contractor. Jacaranda Place is owned by Blue Sky Communities LLC which, per the Construction Journal, has 18 active projects in multiple sectors.

The organization currently has over 15 communities in Florida alone, including in Fort Myers, Orlando, and Tampa. On the project, it partnered with Community Assisted and Supporting Living Inc., a non-profit organization.
Amenities include a swimming pool, 2,000-square-foot-clubhouse, lake views, covered bicycle storage compartments, and outdoor communal areas. The project’s estimated to cost around $11.1 million. Without any delays, it should commence operations within the next couple of years, if not sooner.

Jacaranda Place’s address is 1250 Loveland Boulevard, Port Charlotte, FL, 33980. Per Google Earth’s satellites, the build site was previously unoccupied and is located near the Florida Department of Health in Charlotte.

What are the projected range of prices?
Are you sure is low income and disabled people. As for what I heard is for people that have mental issues and that there is going to be an office for them in that location. I don’t BELIVE this should be the place to build we’re we have a school so close to it . And this is family oriented location. I don’t even agree with the new houses that are section 8 . It’s really bringing the wrong kind to our peaceful area.
Where do you suppose we offer housing assisted to our mentally ill? We can’t leave them to the streets or abandon them on an island or in the middle of no where. Mentally I’ll does not equate to a danger.

Why would you build a complex and put a laundry facility on site for people with disabilities ? To always have to depend on someone taking your laundry to the laundry area doesn’t make sense where was the thought process of putting W/D in the units it’s self
