CI Financial Signs 20,000-Square-Foot Lease At The 55-Story 830 Brickell Under Construction In Miami’s Financial District

CI Financial Corp will be joining Microsoft as a tenant at the 55-story 830 Brickell Class A+ office tower under construction in Brickell. The Canadian asset and wealth management firm has announced the signing of a 20,000-square-foot lease as they plan to establish a headquarters in the U.S. within Miami’s Financial District. The 724-foot-tall is designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture with Revuelta Architecture International as the executive architect for developers OKO Group and Cain International, the duo behind Missoni Baia and Una Residences, and Italian architecture and design firm Iosa Ghini Associati is handling interiors.

Located at 830 Brickell Plaza, the interior lot sits on the northeast corner of the city block bound by Southeast 9th Street to the South, South Miami Avenue to the west, Southwest 8th Street to the north and Brickell Plaza to the east. The office tower will be located near various types of public transportation including the near by Metromover 8th Street Station, Brickell’s Metrorail Station over on Southwest 1st Avenue, and Brightline.

820 Brickell is becoming the center of attention in the office space as leasing activity has picked up at the tower. Microsoft just recently announced they will be taking up 50,000 square feet of space, and private equity firm Thoma Bravo is also leasing 36,500 square feet. Tenants will have access to a lush list of amenities including a luxurious rooftop restaurant and bar, electric vehicle charing stations and bike storage, as well as 24-hour concierge services and valet parking. The Sky Lobby will feature stunning views of Miami’s skyline and Biscayne Bay, lounging areas and work spaces, conference rooms, a yoga studio and fitness center.

The Cushman & Wakefield team of Brian Gale, Ryan Holtzman and Andrew Trench represented 830 Brickell in the transaction. CI Financial was represented by Donna Abood and Mark Robbins of Avison Young.

830 Brickell is expected to wrap up some time in 2022.
