Barrington Brothers, LLC has a new housing development coming to Miami-Dade County. The Kavista is an eight-story building that’s presently in its post-bidding stage. The Real Deal reports that the owners purchased the two-acre site for $1.1 million in 2013.
The Construction Journal reports that the venture will cost more than $10 million to build. The multi-family building will comprise 282 at-market units. The units run about 700 square feet each. About 58 percent of the units are one-bedroom layouts. Developers are also planning for over 320 parking spots.

Modis Architects LLC is the project’s architect. The Miami-based firm has 28 active projects, costing a total of $408 million. It designed Paradise Lakes Apartment in Kendall and Jessie Trice Health Center in Miami Gardens.
Per Modis Architects LLC’s online renderings, many units come with outdoor balconies. The building itself is built in a cubic, modern design, sporting an orange, grey, and white facade. Amenities include ground floor work spaces, a community pool, bike racks, and outdoor seating.

The Kavista’s address is listed as 471 Northeast 83rd Street, El Portal, FL, 33138, in Miami-Dade County. In terms of relative proximity, the development’s located on the lot adjacent to SkateBird Miami, a local skate park.
