Construction began on Fairlawn Village in September 2020 and will ideally reach completion in January 2022. Its owned by Blue Skies Communities LLC, which is based out of Tampa and has almost 40 active projects.

The $24 million project will provide 116 residential units, with 20 units allotted for survivors of domestic violence, people with disabilities, and children exiting the foster care system. Apartments.com notes that there’s 28 one-bedroom units, 54 two-bedroom units, and 34 three-bedroom units. They range from 512 square feet to 1,085 square feet each. Units come with central air conditioning, storage closets, and updated kitchens.
On-site amenities include a 2,677-square-foot clubhouse that includes two offices, two bathrooms, and a veranda. Amenities also include on-site laundry, a fitness center, a playground, and 118 parking spots.

According to Fairlawn Village’s website, it’s a “scattered-site development.” There will be 48 units located at 1491 Mercy Drive and 68 units at 1050 Mercy Drive. Powell Studio Architecture LLC designed the project. Conceptual renderings show a garden-style community with low-rise buildings. Buildings range from three to four stories above grade.
Civil Site Engineering Inc. is the project’s civil engineer, and NDC Construction Company is the general contractor. Both organizations are based out of Florida. As noted, Fairlawn Village’s address is 1491 and 1050 Mercy Drive, Orlando, FL, 32808, in Orange County.
