An $82 million expansion is slated for the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson, FL. The three-story medical tower will offer 102 rooms; 72 are patient rooms and support areas, while the remaining 30 rooms are private patient rooms that offer designated therapy services.

The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that the project will require multiple construction phases. Construction began in December 2021. The Construction Journal notes that the project will reach completion by mid-2023. The hospital will remain open while it undergoes construction.

HCA Healthcare – Hospital Corporation of America owns the venture. The Nashville-based organization has 37 active projects, mostly in the private medical sector. The Tampa Bay Business Journal released conceptual renderings of the project online. These renderings show an open-concept entryway, state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, spacious dining area, and a hundred-plus-spot parking lot.

This project has two main goals. First, it’s intended to serve Pasco County’s growing population. The Florida Legislature reports that within the next ten years, the county will gain about 100,000 residents––increasing the demand for efficient medical care. Secondly, HCA Regional Medical Center – Bayonet Point will expand on HCA’s medical treatment network. The organization consistently gets high performance and customer satisfaction ratings.
