Casa Devon is hoping to add workforce housing to its community. The already-existing complex, located in Miami, FL, has 210 units. The South Florida Business Journal reports that Casa Devon was erected in 1981 and measures four stories above grade. It comprises 92,400 square feet. Publichousing.com notes that Casa Devon already offers affordable housing options.
Casa Devon II is a multi-million-dollar expansion that will comprise five-story buildings with 172 rental units. Residences range from one-bedroom to two-bedroom units, measuring 649 square feet to 754 square feet each. Casa Devon II will require over 122,000 square feet of new construction.
Construction on Casa Devon II started in 2020.
Construction on the venture began in December 2020, with NEI General Contracting serving as the general contractor. The Ocoee-based firm has 26 active projects mostly in the private residential sector.
Burgos Lanza & Associates Inc., the project’s architect, released conceptual renderings of the community online. Renderings show pastel-colored facades recalling the Miami Modern (MiMo) architectural style. Site plans show around 127 on-premises parking spots. It will be built on a 5.85-acre vacant plot of land that Casa Devon Venture acquired for about $43 million in 2019.
Units range from one-bedroom to two-bedrooms layout plans.
Casa Devon II’s address is 11250 SW 197th Street, Miami, FL, 33157, in Miami-Dade County. The community is north of Southland Mall.
