Swan Village began construction in February 2021. Now, it’s nearing completion. The 55+ community, which offers 84 units, is expected to finish construction in June 2022. The project will offer affordable, garden-style apartments to mature adults in Lakeland, Florida.
Of those units, 48 are one-bedroom apartments, and the remaining 36 apartments are two-bedroom units. They will be housed in two buildings which, according to the project’s renderings, measure three stories above grade. All apartments come with in-unit washers and dryers, balconies, open floor plans, and new appliances.
The 55+ community offers 84 residential units.
According to the community’s website, units range from 725 square feet to 1,055 square feet each. There are units designed for those with disabilities, making Swan Village ADA compliant. Communal amenities include a clubhouse, children’s playground, fitness center, and resort-style swimming pool.
Blue Skies Communities, LLC owns the $20 million venture. The firm doubles as the community’s architect. It partnered with NDC Construction Company, the general contractor. Boggs Engineering is the civil engineer. Every entity on this venture is based out of southwest Florida.

Swan Village’s address is 2076 Griffin Road, Lakeland, Florida, 33810, in Polk County. In terms of location, it’s north of I-4 and east of the Lower Green Swamp Preserve.
