The Metropolitan at Gainesville (formerly known as Haven 13) is continuing construction in Gainesville, Florida. Upon completion, the eight-story complex will offer 169 units––a total of 464 beds. It’s geared toward students attending Gainesville’s nearby colleges, particularly the University of Florida.
Each bedroom comes with a private bathroom. Other amenities include a pool, fitness center, high-speed internet, jumbotron, and study lounge. Plans also include 399 parking spots and 142 scooter paces, per Rebusiness Online.
According to the Gainesville Sun, the community will also offer eight townhomes located in the back of the complex. While a 4,800-square-foot leasing office is also in the works, the complex will not feature any retail stores.
Before construction began, there were a few structures already existing on the build site. Among those businesses included a Habitat for Humanity, a motel, and two auto repair shops. Landmark Properties, Inc. owns the development, presently overseeing 15 active projects costing more than $252 million total.
EDA Consultants, Inc. is operating as the civil engineer. Landmark Properties, Inc. is doubling as the general contractor. The project’s estimated to cost over $30 million to complete.
The Metropolitan at Gainesville’s address is 2209 Southwest 13th Street, Gainesville, Florida, 32608, in Alachua County.
