The Row, a student housing community in Gainesville, Florida, is now leasing for fall 2022. The $16 million venture broke ground in early 2021, with Kast Construction Company LLC operating as the general contractor. The mixed-use venture requires about 140,000 square feet of new construction.
The residential aspect comprises 48 units in an eight-story building. The units, starting at around $885 a month, measure about 330 square feet to 940 square feet each. Many of them are multi-bedroom units, allowing students to have their own bedrooms yet share a common space.
Homes come with vinyl panel flooring, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances. They also feature their own washers and dryers. Communal amenities include a fitness center, collaborative study rooms, and an amenity deck with a wading pool. The Row features 69 parking spots.
The apartments start on the eight-story building’s fourth floor and continue all the way to the top. The first three stories (a podium) will feature retail space. The Ardent Companies owns the project, and Charlan Brock & Associates, Inc. is the architect.
The Row is located in the University of Florida’s Sorority Row neighborhood. Its physical address is 1130 SW 5th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida, 32601, in Alachua County.
