Grand Living at Wellen Park is undergoing construction in North Port, Florida. The independent living community is just one part of Wellen Park, a master-planned development.
Grand Living at Wellen will offer 192 apartments, comprising more than 235,000 square feet of new construction. Of the 192 apartments, 156 are independent and assisted living units, and 36 are memory care units. The homes will be in a four-story building. Homes feature wood plank flooring and resort-style accommodations.
Construction will end in 2023.
Communal amenities include a 150-seat theater, pool, hot tub, fitness center, and much more. Per Seniors Housing Business, Grand Living at Wellen Park will offer comfortable homes for Florida’s growing senior population. It noted in a 2021 report that, in Venice, Florida, the senior population will grow by at least 35 percent between 2020 and 2025.
Ryan Companies owns the venture. It’s also operating as the architect and general contractor. Right now, the Minnesota-based firm has 50 senior living communities. This will be its 11th project. Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. is the civil engineer. These organizations hope to end construction on Grand Living at Wellen Park in March 2023.
The development is located in Sarasota County.
