Uptown Sky To Offer Workforce Housing at 13603 North 12th Street & Fletcher Avenue, Tampa, Florida

Uptown Sky is currently undergoing construction in Tampa, Florida. Sitework began in late 2021 with NDC Construction company operating as the general contractor. Upon its anticipated completion in January 2023, the community will deliver 61 affordable housing units.

There are four floor models to choose from, comprising two-bedroom to three-bedroom homes. Standard two-bedroom units measure 980 square feet, while three-bedroom homes measure 1,173 square feet each. There are also units specifically set aside for individuals with disabilities. ADA-compliant rooms measure the same size.

Construction’s expected to end in early 2023.

Uptown Sky will measure four stories above grade and host many family-friendly amenities, including a swimming pool, children’s playground, and food truck area. Per the development’s website, the complex “will cater to working-class families and individuals.” Although construction will ideally end in early 2023, leasing information will not be available until Fall 2023. In the meantime, interested parties can click here to be notified when applications open.

Blue Sky Communities LLC owns the project. The Tampa-based organization is committed to providing affordable and workforce housing to those living in Florida and Texas. In February 2022, Florida YIMBY reported on Blue Sky Landing, a 164-unit complex slated for Fort Pierce. Blue Sky Communities LLC also owns and manages that venture.

Some of the units are designed for those living with disabilities.
