Soon, two single-family homes could be demolished to make way for a seven-story residential building in Hollywood, Florida. The $8 million venture will comprise more than 48,000 square feet of new construction and offer 53 homes. The units will range from 400 square feet to about 1,190 square feet each.
The South Florida Business Journal reports that future residents can choose from studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. Communal amenities feature a rooftop grilling with barbeques, as well as an atrium. The publication also noted that South Florida is seeing an unrivaled housing boom in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.
At this time, the residential building does not have a name. Some sources refer to it as “2021 Jefferson,” although this is not finalized. Prime Equity NYC owns the venture. Records show that this is the organization’s only active project. It acquired the build site for $1.7 million in late 2021 and early 2022.
Other involved parties in the project include Aylward Engineering & Surveyors, Inc. (the civil engineer) and Landscape Architectural Services (the landscape architect). LLR Architects Inc. designed the venture and shared conceptual renderings online. They reveal a high-rise building with a 75-spot parking garage.
The venture’s address is 2021 to 2027 Jefferson Street, Hollywood, Florida, 33020, in Broward County. Construction is expected to end in May 2024.
