Compass Landing by Margaritaville is a seven-story new mixed-use development that could break ground this November in Melbourne, Florida. Florida News Today reports that city officials approved the development in May 2022. The mayor of Melbourne, Paul Alfrey, calls the venture “a game changer.”
If everything goes according to plan, the venture could finish construction in Fall 2024. This would be the fourth Compass by Margaritaville; there are three other locations in Oregon, North Carolina, and Kentucky. The venture could cost anywhere from $60 million to $65 million to complete––maybe even more.
BuffettNews.com reports that the hotel could offer 146 units and a 221-slip marina. Other amenities include a 10,000-square-foot restaurant and a 20,000-square-foot outdoor entertainment center. Plans also call for a rooftop restaurant called “Salty Rim Bar & Grill.”
The new Melbourne location will offer the trademark fixtures offered by the other Compass Landing by Margaritaville locations, including rainfall showers, smart TVs, and customized interior finishes. The multi-acre project will replace what used to be an intracoastal marina.
Compass Landing by Margaritaville on the Space Coast’s address is 705 South Harbor City Boulevard, Melbourne, Florida, 32901, in Brevard County. The development rests on the banks of the Indiana River and is north of downtown Melbourne.
