Adventure Landing in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, is expected to close permanently at the end of this year. In its place, developers hope to move forward with a 53.8-acre housing development.
Per the Jax Daily Record, the luxury development will comprise 427 units, measuring around 850 square feet each. The unnamed development will offer open space and a conservation area, as well as a 2,000-square-foot building that could be a coffee shop or restaurant.
Sources report that construction could start on the $162 million development in either May 2023 or early 2024. Before construction starts, the general contractor must demolish Adventure Landing, which has entertained the community for 24 years.
Trevato Development Group is the project’s owner. Cronk Duch Partners is the architect. Conceptual renderings show that the 427 apartments will be spread across multiple low-rise buildings, appearing to measure three stories above grade. Select homes come with screened-in balconies and patios.
The development has undergone a few revisions since its proposal in 2021. One of those revisions involved expanding the conservation area’s acreage. The conservation area was originally 6.83 acres––and it’s now 19.43 acres. The venture’s address is 1944 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville Beach, Florida, 32250, in Duval County.
