Mixed-Use Venture to Offer More Than 350 Apartments in Apopka, FL

Developers hope to move forward with a new mixed-use community in Apopka, FL. The Orlando Business Journal calls it: “Wingspan/ABC Kelly Park,” and it would feature more than 350 apartments on a 21.36-acre site.

About 20 percent of those apartments will be set aside as affordable housing units, aimed at households making a certain amount each year. The apartments themselves would be spread across multiple low-rise buildings, not expected to reach more than four stories.

The venture will be located near this intersection.

GrowthSpotter notes that in addition to the apartments, the community will also feature about 27,800 square feet of retail space. That space will primarily comprise dining options and storefronts.

Sources note that the venture is presently seeking site plan approvals, with construction anticipated to start in July 2023. Those same sources note that Wingspan/ABC Kelly Park could cost around $150 million to finish.

Wingspan Development Group and ABC Capital Corp are leading the project. Other parties in the venture include Poulos & Bennett, Nicholas & Associates, Inc., Scott + Cormia, and Bio-Tech Consulting Inc.

Wingspan/ABC Kelly Park is just one of many mixed-use developments unfolding in the Central Florida region. It’s “near the intersection of West Kelly Park Road and Plymouth Sorrento Road” in Apopka, Florida, 32712, in Orange County.
