In 1941, the Polish American Club of Miami took shape, offering a sense of community for poles in the area. Then, after falling into disrepair, its one-story banquet hall was demolished in 2018. Now, the Polish American Club of Miami has exciting plans for a new development on the property that will offer homes, commercial ventures, and more.
Per the Real Deal, plans call for a multi-level glass-and-steel tower that would comprise 40,000 square feet of office space, 6,000 square feet of ground floor retail, and a banquet hall/meeting space measuring close to 20,000 square feet.
The South Florida Business Journal notes that, if approved, plans also call for more than 200 apartments, some of which are set aside as workforce housing units. Promotional materials call the project “a magnificent tribute, a monument to the Polish people.”
Schindler Architects is the project’s designer. True to the Real Deal’s description, the high-rise tower has a glass and steel façade, overlooking the North Fork Miami River. The main reason for the project is that the Polish American Club of Miami can no longer survive on donations. It hopes this venture will provide the organization with much-needed revenue.
The Polish American Club of Miami’s newest venture is located at 1250 NW 22nd Avenue, Miami, Florida, 33125, in Miami-Dade County.

all ok, except: what is that little pediment at the top….it’s so not right with the rest of the design. Why? Who did that? What does it mean?
