Developers to Propose Self-Storage Facility at 7140 Northeast Miami Court, Miami, Florida, 33138

Tomorrow, Miami’s Urban Design Review Board will hear a proposal for a three-tower mixed-use venture, which would offer 1,292 apartments and various commercial ventures. We reported on that venture just last week, noting how the Kushner Companies hoped to move forward with the project upon approval.

Yet, that’s just one of the many proposals the Miami Urban Design Review Board will hear on Wednesday. It’ll also hear a proposal for a seven-story self-storage building. The venture, comprising more than 137,000 square feet, would replace an already-existing low-rise apartment building.

Developers purchased the build site in 2021.

Presently, that complex has four residential units. Per the South Florida Business Journal, 120,090 square feet would comprise the self-storage aspect, while the remaining square footage would go toward ground floor retail. 7200 NE Miami Court LLC acquired the 24,513-square-foot build site for $1 million in 2021.

Other involved parties in the venture include Carli Koshal, who’s representing the developer. Blitstein Design, based locally in Coral Gables, designed the project. Conceptual renderings show a mid-rise building with a mostly windowless façade.

With the increasing demand for multifamily housing units in Florida, self-storage facilities have seen an increase in business. If approved, the new storage facility would be located at 7140 Northeast Miami Court, Miami, Florida, 33138, in Miami-Dade County.
