Legacy Groves to Comprise 130+ Homes in Nokomis, FL

Legacy Groves is an emerging residential development in Nokomis, Florida. SRQ Magazine reports that the community will comprise 138 homes, including single-family homes and twin villas. Villas start at $400,000, while the single-family households start at $500,000s.

The “enclave-style community” is centered around a 120-year oak tree and features two entrances. Sarasota Magazine reported that model homes were set to break ground in early 2023, with sales starting in mid-2023. YourSun notes that Legacy Groves will replace Nokomis Groves, a business that opened in 1948. It ceased operations in 2021 and was demolished shortly afterward.

Communal amenities include a swimming pool, mail kiosks, and integrated smart home technology. Some of the biggest amenities are outside of the gated community, with a Publix located just five minutes away. Legacy Groves is also a five-minute drive from the Venice Theater, which claims to be the largest community theater per capita in the country.

The venture will replace this now-closed business.

Pulte Homes is the developer. It sought to rezone the 44-acre build site to a “residential single-family district” in October 2021. It lists the community’s address as “off Albee Farm Road,” Nokomis, Florida, 34275, in Sarasota County. Legacy Groves is southwest of I-95 and west of Florida 93.
