Mosaic, a 98-Unit Complex, Undergoes Construction at 13800 Northwest 22nd Avenue, 33054, Opa-Locka, Florida

Redwood National Properties has officially broken ground on a new residential venture in Opa-Locka, Florida. Dubbed “Mosaic,” the 98-unit development will measure five stories and rest on a 2.1-acre build site.

Per the South Florida Business Journal, the workforce community offers homes that mostly comprise three- to four-bedroom units, with rent starting at $3,000 a month.

The 98-unit development will offer 10 live/work units.

David Burstyn, the head of Redwood National Properties, told media outlets that there’s a big demand for larger apartments in Miami-Dade County right now, hence the reason for the spacious units.

Information from the City of Opa-Locka reports that of the available 98 units, 10 will be set aside as live-work units. There will also be 196 parking spots, which is approximately two spots per unit.

Homes come with granite countertops and new appliances, while the community’s biggest amenity is a children’s playground. Coastland Construction is the general contractor.

It hopes to finish construction in 18 months, meaning homes could be available in mid-2024. Renderings from Google Earth suggest that prior to construction, the build site was mostly unoccupied. Sources report that Mosaic could cost $35 million to build. Mosaic’s address is 13800 Northwest 22nd Avenue, 33054, Opa-Locka, Florida, in Miami-Dade County. The development is west of I-95.
