A new Target Fulfillment Center’s coming to San Antonio, Florida. Per BLDUP, the 1.4 million-square-foot facility will rest on a lot measuring 121 acres. It will also have more than 1,800 square feet of frontage on Interstate 75.

Upon completion (which could be anywhere from 12 to 18 months), the venture will create 2,400 jobs. The facility will primarily focus on eCommerce operations, focusing on Target’s online shopping aspect. It will also expand the retailer’s supply chain capacity.

The venture’s located in Pasco County, FL.

Sources list Target Corporate Office headquarters as the owner. NorthPoint Development is the design-build firm. According to the Tampa Bay Business Journal, the Missouri-based firm purchased the build site for nearly $60 million in 2021.

Commercial Property Exclusive reports that in exchange for the project’s approval, NorthPoint Development will invest $10 million in Pasco County’s infrastructure, namely, its roads.

The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that the facility will be in this vicinity.

Sources report that construction started in January 2023, with the general contractor currently installing footings. As noted, there isn’t a firm completion date. The Target Fulfillment Center in Pasco County is just one of many fulfillment centers emerging in Central Florida right now.

In the past five years, both Walmart and Amazon have built fulfillment centers exceeding 1 million square feet in the area. The Target Fulfillment Center would be off 1-75 in San Antonio, Florida, 33576, in Pasco County.
