Tampa Heights Apartments, a highly-anticipated 321-unit community in the heart of Tampa Heights, is set to break ground today. Developers Loci Capital and Maifly Development will partner up with Tampa Mayor Jane Castor to mark the start of construction on this new development project, which is designed by Humphreys & Partners Architects, with engineering services provided by TRC Companies.
The community, located on a 2.45-acre site at the northeast corner of North Florida Avenue and East 7th Avenue, will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 512 square feet to 1,393 square feet within a 6-story structure, with a 7-story pre-cast parking garage. The units will be outfitted with modern amenities, including smart home technology, modern kitchens with stainless steel appliances, European-inspired bathrooms, and large walk-in closets.
In addition to individual unit features, the project will also have 6,400 square feet of amenities, including multiple outdoor lounging and park areas, a resort-style rooftop pool, a full-service fitness center, a coffee bar, and a dog park. There will also be 13,000 square feet of retail space.
The project received $92 million in construction financing from U.S. Bank and Marble Capital. MW Builders has been selected as the general contractor for the project, which is expected to begin construction early this year and conclude by late 2024.
10% of the apartments, equating to 32 units, will be reserved for affordable housing, reflecting the project’s commitment to meeting the wider community’s needs. The groundbreaking of Tampa Heights Apartments is a significant step forward for the city of Tampa, providing much-needed housing options and modern amenities to the area.
The location of Tampa Heights Apartments, its cutting-edge design, and its commitment to affordable housing make it poised to attract residents from all walks of life and drive economic growth in the surrounding area. The groundbreaking of Tampa Heights Apartments is an exciting moment for the city of Tampa and is a testament to its commitment to growth and development.
