Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine Unfolds at 7011 Kiran Patel Drive, Winter Garden, Florida

Construction continues on the Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine, a “proposed Medical College that will train caring and competent osteopathic physicians to serve the community.” In October 2022, the venture was still seeking accreditation and had not broken ground on the 360 multifamily/student housing units.

The venture will focus on osteopathic medicine.

According to Horizon West Info, the college could include two lecture halls, a virtual anatomy lab, study rooms, classrooms, labs, examination rooms, and a fitness center. There will also be an Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) lab, which aims to give students a comprehensive hands-on learning experience. Plans call for more than 140,000 square feet of new construction.

Our sources report that construction began in September 2022, noting that the project could cost just over $76 million to complete. Construction could take two years, with completion slated for summer 2024. Yet, the college itself wouldn’t open until 2028. In addition to offering a state-of-the-art program, it will create around 345 jobs and generate $3 million in taxes.

Main roads to the college are still under construction.

NOVA Engineering & Environmental, LLC is the consultant. Kelly, Collins & Gentry, Inc is the civil engineer. The Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine’s address is listed as 7011 Kiran Patel Drive, Winter Garden, Florida, 34787, in Orange County. The main road leading to the college is under construction.
