The Parkside Memory Care Undergoes Construction at 7620 N. University Drive, Tamarac, Florida

Parkside Memory Care is undergoing construction in Broward County, Florida. The two-story 45,923-square-foot facility will feature 72 private rooms with in-unit bathrooms. Per the South Florida Business Journal, the facility will rest on a plot measuring 2.33 acres and cost more than $11 million to complete.

Amenities include a high-end kitchen and first-floor dining hall. Link Construction Group reports that the development will be powered by natural gas and propane––ensuring that the facility retains power even in the face of natural disasters. Other structural features include two elevators: one for residents, and another one for maintenance purposes.

The community will measure two stories.

Sources report that Cabrera Ramos Architects designed the venture and shared conceptual renderings with various media outlets. Parkside Memory Care’s been in the works since November 2020.

Originally, developers wanted the facility to comprise 96 beds and 43,000 square feet of new construction. It was also supposed to feature a community garden and 37 parking spots. It’s unclear whether the new plans also call for those features.

Parkside Memory Care is intended to meet South Florida’s growing senior community. The venture’s address is 7620 N. University Drive, Tamarac, Florida, 33321, in Broward County. Google Earth suggests that it’s across the street from Tamarac Elementary School.

Please provide information on the application process. I have been watching the construction of this new facility from the start as I live only four blocks away! Was excited to see that there may be employment opportunities so close to home, so that I can use my nursing skills and knowledge to further help senior citizens.
