Columbus Center, a Class A office complex at 1 Alhambra Plaza in the heart of Coral Gables, has proudly unveiled its recent multi-million-dollar renovation. The modernization, which breathes new life into the first-floor lobby, sixth-floor terrace, and exterior facade of the 261,867-square-foot property, has been meticulously executed. Boasting an array of amenities, the multi-use property offers an on-site gym, the popular Bay 13 Brewery and Kitchen, Micocos Café, ample parking, round-the-clock security, on-site management, dual conference facilities, and a private rooftop terrace.

Occupying a strategic location at the doorstep of the Coral Gables financial district, this mid-rise office park extends excellent connectivity to Miami’s Urban Core, Coconut Grove, Miami Beach, Miami International Airport, and major highways. Tenants, including First Horizon, Charles Schwab, Regus, and IBM, appreciate the timeless appeal of the building and its campus-like environment. The Columbus Center presents a rare headquarters opportunity for entities requiring up to 60,000 square feet in the 55 Alhambra Building, also known as The West Tower. This tower offers efficient floor plates complemented by private terraces and balconies that open onto the newly renovated rooftop terrace.

“The sophisticated and internationally influenced area of Coral Gables has created an atmosphere attractive to companies and their employees,” said Maggie Kurtz, Senior Vice President of Colliers South Florida. “Just steps from Giralda Avenue, also known as “Restaurant Row”, the property offers unparalleled access to restaurants, shops, and business services. The row will soon welcome Bouchon Bistro by renowned Chef Thomas Keller.”

The refurbishment, conceived by CallisonRTKL, was recently completed for $11 million. The renovation also breathed new life into the building’s lobby, conference facilities, elevators, and, most notably, the opulent rooftop terrace. Tenants are now greeted by sweeping vistas of Coral Gables and Miami’s skyline from this terrace, adorned with adjustable motorized pergolas, synthetic turf, custom storage, and sleek contemporary furniture. The property’s management team, Patrinely, oversaw the entire renovation process in collaboration with Affinius Capital, the majority owner of the building. Colliers South Florida is handling the leasing for the property in partnership with Patrinely.
