The developers behind Evelyn City Lofts have secured a $40 million construction loan. The five-story complex will comprise 245 residential units, 25 of which are deemed affordable housing.
BLDUP notes that homes will include studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. Other than that, little is known about the residences themselves. Communal amenities include a swimming pool, fitness center, clubhouse, business center, and multiple communal areas.
There’s also a five-story 293-spot covered parking garage. Multi-Housing News notes that Grandview Partners and Crosland Southeast are the developers. Real Estate Finance financed the venture, and Charlan Brock Architects designed the community.
At the time of publication, construction hadn’t started yet on Evelyn City Lofts. However, site work has commenced on the build site. This included demolishing the Hope Church. The organization has relocated to another area.
A Facebook post from URBN Tampa Bay note that on October 14, 2021, the developers attending a rezoning hearing. The affordable housing complex aims to satisfy Florida’s growing population and demand for cost-accessible housing.
Evelyn City Lofts’ address is 6907 N. Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, Florida, 33604, in Hillsborough County. The venture is west of Florida 275 and east of ZooTampa at Lowry Park, which Florida YIMBY reported on in December 2022.
