Sunbeam Development Corporation has announced that it’s moving forward with the Park Miramar, a 125-acre mixed-use project. The multi-million-dollar project will offer 325,000 square feet of retail, featuring an anchor grocery store.
Katz & Associates notes that it’s looking for additional tenants, with openings available in the high-end retail, entertainment, and restaurant sectors. The Park Miramar will also have close to 100,000 square feet of office space.
There will also be a 185-key hotel that will offer a rooftop pool and banquet/meeting space. These commercial aspects are just one part of the Park Miramar, however. The South Florida Business Journal revealed that plans also call for 2,825 residential units and 7,500 parking spots for employees, residents, and consumers.
The commercial ventures would occupy the ground floors of six eight-story residential buildings. The Park Miramar would offer 40 acres of open space that would feature “the Estuary,” a 24.4-acre area with nature trails, scenic waterways, and a 2.1-mile perimeter trail.
It will also have nine acres of “high-energy space connected to a regional greenway.” As noted, Sunbeam Development Corporation is the developer. It owns the neighboring Miramar Park of Commerce, one of the largest industrial parks in the region.
The Real Deal reports that the Park Miramar will occupy the former site of WSVN-TV Channel 7’s television station in Miramar.
